Stephen R. CoveySalt Lake City Evening With Friends (Dr. Stephen R. Covey)

Friday, May 9, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the BYU Salt Lake Center (3 Triad Center)
Please join us at the new home of the BYU Salt Lake Center as we listen to Dr. Stephen R. Covey, known throughout the world for his books and leadership principles. His The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was hailed by Chief Executive Magazine as the most influential book of the 20th Century, and Time Magazine lauded him as one of the 25 most influential people in its 1996 listings. This free event promises an insightful and delightful evening among alumni, retired faculty and employees, and friends of Brigham Young University.

Free admission. Reservations are required as seating is limited. Please arrive early!

Emeriti Fall Activity with Elder John K. CarmackEmeriti Fall Activity with Elder John K. Carmack

Join us for the Emeriti Alumni Association's Fall Activity at the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni & Visitors Center Wednesday, September 17 at 11:30 a.m. Following a lovely luncheon we will hear from Elder John K. Carmack, emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and Managing Director of the Perpetual Education Fund.

The PEF was set up on the same pattern as the Perpetual Emigration Fund, but established to help in the education of returned missionaries from impoverished areas of the world. In announcing Elder Carmack's release and the new calling, President Gordon B. Hinckley quipped, "We've worn him out on one side; now we're going to flip him over and wear out the other side."

Cost: $15 per person. Limited seating. Please arrive early!
