What is an international alumni chapter?
An international alumni chapter is a group of 4 to 400 alumni and friends of BYU with a common interest in bringing the blessings of BYU to their community.
What do international chapters do?
International chapters promote the alumni association’s mission statement – ". . . to build uncommon loyalty, support, and service among
alumni and friends of Brigham Young University." Ranging from holding simple potluck dinners to promoting BYU performing arts tour groups,
each chapter adapts its approach to achieving the mission statement according to its size and capability.

Do I have to be a BYU graduate to participate?
No.
How do I find out if there is an alumni chapter in my area?
To find the alumni chapter closest to you, go to alumni.byu.edu/sections/chapters and click on the map.
I don’t like to ask people for money. Is there fundraising involved?
Fundraising is optional.
Are there any dues or fees involved?
No.
I have a job, two church callings and a family. Is this a big time investment?
No. Chapters are encouraged to have only two meetings per year according to chapter needs.
