Amy Kunz Fennegan (BA '94)

Amy graduated from BYU’s College of Fine Arts and Communications with an emphasis in public relations. Prior to graduation, she represented BYU on the national committee of the Public Relations Student Society of America and completed an internship with the United Nations. Following graduation, she took a job with MBRK Advertising and Public Relations in Dallas, Texas, where within two years, she headed the firm’s fast growing technology public relations section. She left full-time agency work in 1998 to start Amy Fennegan Communications, a free-lance marketing communications business with clients ranging from advertising agencies to technology companies to professional service providers.
She has enjoyed serving in the Church in Primary, Young Women’s and Relief Society presidencies. She is currently the multi-stake director of public affairs for the Dallas area. In the community, she served on the Religious Faiths Advisory Committee to the Superintendent of the Dallas Independent School District and currently serves on the Thanksgiving Square Interfaith Council and two PTA Boards.
She has four children, ages two to twelve. She and her husband Garth (BS '94) enjoy more than anything spending time at home in Dallas with their children.
Prior to serving on the Alumni Board, she and Garth served for five years as chairs of Dallas Forth Worth Chapter.
