Baking Powder Biscuits
2 biscuits per serving/ 10 servings

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour 2 ½ Qts
Milk, Non Fat Dry 1/3 Cups
Baking Powder 2 T
Salt pinch
Shortening 1/3 Cup
Water 1 ½ Cups

Procedure:

1. Sift together flour, milk, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.
2. Blend shortening into dry mix at low speed until mixture in crumbly
3. Add water at low speed, only enough to form a soft dough.
4. Place dough on a lightly floured board, knead lightly for 1 minute or until dough is smooth.
5. Roll out dough to ½ inch thickness, cut with biscuit cutter, place biscuits on an ungreased sheet pan as close together as possible.
6. Bake 15 minutes until lightly browned.
