Emeriti Alumni Mission Statement
The purpose of the Brigham Young University Emeriti Alumni Association is to promote friendship and fellowship among its members and support activities that will further the interests of the university, as well as benefit emeriti educationally, physically, and spiritually. Membership in the Emeriti Alumni include graduates of 40 years or more and retired faculty, administration, and employees of the university. We welcome all friends of the university.

Program: Welcome and announcements will be followed by the college song and prayer. Dinner will be served and then we will hear from our speakers.

Brother Stephen D. Nadauld was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from BYU with a degree in Chemistry. He graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA and earned a PhD from the University of California at Berkley in Finance. He has taught Finance classes at BYU and the University of Utah. In 1979 he was named director of the MBA Program at BYU. In 1983 he was named the President of Weber State University. He serves on several boards of directors including the O.C. tanner company, Deseret Book Company and was on the board of Intermountain Health Care.
He was called to the Second Quorum of the Seventy of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints in1991. While serving as a General Authority of the Church, he served in the General Young Men Presidency, as President of the North America Southeast Area and as Executive Director of the Historical department of the Church. He recently retired as President of Dixie State University. He is the author of several books and professional articles.
In addition to serving as a General Authority, he has served in the Church as a missionary in the Paris France Mission, Elders Quorum President, Young Men President, High Councilor, Bishop, Stake Presidency Counselor, Regional Representative and Mission President.
Sister Margaret Dyreng Nadauld was born in Manti, Utah. She attended Snow College and graduated from BYU. She taught high school English and Speech in Utah and Massachusetts and for many years was a piano teacher. She has served on the board of the Church Educational System and was on the Board of Trustees for BYU. She has been president of Utah’s Freedoms Foundation and was Vice President of Utah’s American Mothers, Inc. She is the author of two books. Her greatest joy and highlight of her life has been to mother their seven sons.
She has served in the Church as a teacher and in the presidency of all the women’s auxiliaries. She served on the Relief Society General Board and in 1997 was called as the 13th Young Women General President of the Church.
Upon her release Brother Nadauld was called as president of the Switzerland Geneva Mission where they served together until returning home in July of 2006.
Brother and Sister Nadauld met while students at BYU and married in the Manti Temple, they are parents of seven sons who have served as missionaries and who, along with their wives, are BYU graduates. They are the grandparents of 32 grandchildren who bring them great joy.
