Emeriti Alumni Mission Statement
The purpose of the Brigham Young University Emeriti Alumni Association is to promote friendship and fellowship among its members and support activities that will further the interests of the university, as well as benefit emeriti educationally, physically, and spiritually. Membership in the Emeriti Alumni include graduates of 40 years or more and retired faculty, administration, and employees of the university. We welcome all friends of the university.

Speakers & Topic: Lawrence Flake

Location: Aspen Grove, family camp and conference center
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Program: Welcome and announcements will be followed by the college song and prayer. Breakfast will be served and then we will hear from our speakers.
(new this year— we have reserved a limited number of rooms if you would like to stay overnight, for an additional $85 per person (Please call Brendon Rogers 801-422-6661).)

Bio: Dr. Flake earned his master's degree and doctorate from BYU in religious education and has served as a teacher for nearly four decades in Utah, New York, Washington D.C., and Montana. He has given numerous lectures, traveled extensively abroad, and taught in the Jerusalem Center. He has written numerous articles and five books, the latest of which is called Prophets and Apostles of the Last Dispensation. He served as president of the Missouri Independence Mission and as a Regional Representative. He and his wife, Elaine, have eight children.
Courses Taught: Sharing the Gospel, Introduction to Mormonism, Doctrines of the Gospel, Teachings of the Living Prophets
