Choose 2 Give (C2G) is a student-run and -funded scholarship where 100 percent of the money raised is used to benefit BYU and its students. Students are asked to give whatever they can to help. You can donate at booths or college events during Choose 2 Give Week (March 20-31), or year-round online!

BYU Connect formerly The Take a Cougar to Lunch (TACTL) program is a unique opportunity for students to meet and network with an alumni mentor in a friendly lunchtime setting. Our database includes a list of BYU alumni who are willing to share their knowledge with students pursuing similar fields of interest.

The BYU Student Alumni Association and descendants of former BYU president George H. Brimhall honor the founders of Brigham Young University each year at Homecoming with the Brimhall Essay Contest. The competition is designed to encourage high levels of scholarship among BYU students and promote understanding and appreciation of BYU’s mission and legacy and the challenges of its great founders. There are more than $7,500 in prizes available.

The 2017 honored founder will be announced in July. Please check back here for details.

For more than 15 years, BYU has sponsored the largest food drive in Utah County. BYU is once again teaming up with UVU and Community Action Services and Food Bank to collect food and monetary donations for those living in poverty in our community. Get involved and help these families have a better future!

Valley United Against Hunger 2017 will take place the two weeks prior to Thanksgiving.

Learn how to professionally handle any dining situation and make a great first impression at the Etiquette Dinner sponsored by BYU Student Alumni and in conjunction with BYU Dining Services. A four-course meal will provide a chance to test these new skills immediately and in the company of other BYU students and alumni. Come learn how to do common things uncommonly well!

The next Etiquette Dinner will be in Fall Semester 2017. 

Held the last Friday of Winter Semester in the Wilkinson Student Center, Senior Celebration is the send-off party for graduates. In addition to food, entertainment, and activities throughout the building, BYU Student Alumni organizes booths and fun activities in the Terrace.

One of BYU’s most enjoyable traditions is Hike and Light the Y. Since 1924, hundreds of students and alumni alike have participated in lighting the Y every BYU Homecoming, Freshmen Orientation, graduation, and Y Days. Students hike Y Mountain and light up the 380 foot high Y with more than 200 lights.

The annual hike takes place the Tuesday of Homecoming Week. Homecoming dates will be announced Summer Term 2017.

All distinguished Brigham Young University alumni have one thing in common: they all had the opportunity to start their legacy at this incredible institution of learning. Luckily, you do too! We are the pleased to introduce the first ever BYU Leadership Conference. We’d like to invite you to join us at the Summit this January to learn how to make the most of your BYU experience. Come be inspired as you hear BYU alumni tell their tales of achieving such great success and discover how you can do the same. Dinner will be provided, but seats are limited.

The Summit 2018 will be announced Fall Semester 2017.
