Emeriti Fall Activity with Elder John K. CarmackJoin us for the BYU Emeriti Alumni Association's Fall Activity at the Hinckley Center Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 11:30 a.m. Following a lovely luncheon we will hear from Elder John K. Carmack, emeritus member of the First Quorum of the Seventy and managing director of the Perpetual Education Fund.
The PEF was designed on the same pattern as the Perpetual Emigration Fund, but established to help in the education of returned missionaries from impoverished areas of the world. In announcing Elder Carmack's release and the new calling, President Gordon B. Hinckley quipped, "We've worn him out on one side; now we're going to flip him over and wear out the other side."
Cost: $15 per person. Limited seating. Register early!
Online registration is available here
