Karen Bybee

President, BYU Alumni Association Board

Karen received a B.A. in Public Relations/Organizational Communications from BYU and, after graduation, moved to the Washington, DC area to work on Capitol Hill. Building upon her legislative experience, she joined the organizing committee responsible for staging the 1994 Soccer World Cup, which launched her career in international sports and events. Since that time, Karen has worked on numerous projects, including Soccer World Cups, Summer and Winter Olympic Games, Golf Ryder Cups, and Women’s World Volleyball Grand Prix. She currently coordinates programs and events for corporate clients worldwide.

While attending BYU, Karen served as the ASBYU Women’s Vice President and the Associated College Unions-International (ACU-I) Region 13 President. Prior to her graduation, she served as a missionary in the Italy Catania Mission.

Karen and her husband, Jeff Holdaway, reside in Midway and are the proud parents of 3 sons – all of whom have attended BYU.
