Go to alumni.byu.edu/platesrequest to get your plates for free for the first year (a $55 value; a $35 annual donation required in subsequent years). Plates will be mailed to your home address. Expect four to six weeks for delivery.

Show your Y Pride on your ride (and help out a current BYU student) with the exclusive stretch Y license plate - available at any local Utah DMV. Stretch Y license plates are available for any vehicle owner registering a vehicle in Utah.

Simply make a minimum $35 tax deductible contribution for a BYU license plate and you not only show your connection to Cougar Nation, but you're also helping deserving students receive needed financial aid.

In addition to your donation, one-time state fees are required; annual renewal requires a minimum donation of $35 plus other vehicle registration/renewal fees.

How to Get Your BYU License Plates

IN PERSON: Go to your local DMV, complete the required forms and pay your $35 donation and state fees. The DMV will then issue your new BYU plates.

ONLINE: Go to dmv.utah.gov, under Online Services click on Personalized & Special Group Plates, then under Vehicle Options click on Personalized & Special Group Plates and follow the steps.

DIRECT MAIL FORM: (requires payment by check) Go to printable form (Need Acrobat Reader? Click here to download and install). Complete the form and mail it along with your check to the address on the form. The state will mail plates and state tags to your home address and forward your donation to BYU.
