Heather Hawkins — Student Alumni President
Heather Hawkins, president, is a Recreation Management and Youth Leadership major from Spokane, Washington. With an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation she plans to work with troubled youth or in youth motivation following graduation. She loves education and leadership training and development. This is Heather's fourth year of involvement with the Student Alumni Association after being recruited in her freshman year as a volunteer coordinator for the BYU v. University of Utah food drive. Since that time she has served as a vice president of human relations and worked as an assistant activities coordinator with the Student Alumni. She hopes to encourage all students to experience the spirit of the Y and develop a connection to BYU while here so they remain connected beyond their years at the university. Cougars today, Cougars forever!
Matthew Bjork — Student Alumni Executive VP
Matthew Bjork, executive vice-president, is a major in American Studies with a management minor from Pueblo, Colorado. Upon graduation he plans to work full-time before attending business school. Matt sees the Student Alumni Association as a powerful tool in connecting students with future career opportunities and teaching them how to return to give back to the BYU. Matt has previously served as an Executive Director in BYUSA for the SAC area and high school student body executive vice -president at Pueblo Centennial High School.
Nicki Gilbert — Student Alumni VP of Programs
Nicki Gilbert, Programs Vice President, is a senior studying geography with an emphasis in global studies. She is looking forward to a career in corporate event coordination and loves working with events in any capacity. Nicki loves being involved on the BYU campus and served last year as the Vice President of Campus Activities for BYUSA. Nicki has been a Cougar since she was born, and will be a Cougar forever! When she isn't busy on campus, Nicki enjoys watching Jeopardy with her husband Jordan.
Steven Williams — Student Alumni VP of Programs
Steven Williams, Vice President of Programs, is a Junior working on his BA in Music and a Business Management Minor from Centennial, Colorado. His five older siblings and parents all graduated from BYU. Steven loves a variety of seemingly unrelated activities that are a part of his BYU experience including planning programs and activities with the Student Alumni Association, singing in BYU Men's Chorus and his barbershop quartet, playing intramural soccer, softball, and racquetball, writing his Honor's thesis through the Political Science department, composing music and conducting choirs, and studying at the BYU Jerusalem Center in the Spring/Summer terms of 2009. He served as an LDS missionary in Sacramento, California speaking Hmong and is interested in going to law school to pursue Constitutional Law because of his experiences there. Steven loves cultivating the Spirit of the Y and connecting students with BYU and with Alumni to help prepare them to be contributing Alumni themselves!
Autumn Buys — Student Alumni VP of Communications
Autumn Buys, Student Alumni Vice President of Communications, is a public relations major hailing from Holladay, Utah. Autumn hopes that by working with the SAA she may help students to foster the same devotion for Cougar traditions that she has. Autumn wants to encourage students to genuinely embrace that they are a Cougar Today, a Cougar Forever. Her prior experience includes serving as an Account Executive for a local public relations firm and interning with Utah Bride and Groom/Utah Style and Design magazines. When she isn't satisfying her donut craving at Sugar and Spice, she spends her free time being a bridal consultant in Salt Lake City.
Kevin Earl — Student Alumni VP of Communications

Kevin Earl, vice president of communications, is a senior majoring in communications with an emphasis in public relations from Texas. Keep an eye out for Kevin around campus as he promotes Student Alumni in canned-food costumes, sandwich boards and BYU capes. Kevin also serves as vice president of public relations for BYU's chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and for a third year as the stage manager for the BYU Young Ambassadors. He served an LDS mission in Hungary and attempts to speak Hungarian. Kevin is excited for his second year of service with Student Alumni.
