BYU PARENTS PROGRAM

Parents Guide

Things to do in May-

  • Spring term offers a great opportunity for your student to facilitate time-to-graduation by picking up a few extra classes. Not only is it a beautiful time of year to be on campus, but classes are smaller, and the atmosphere is more relaxed.

  • Since spring term is half as long as a regular semester, the course work is accelerated. A class that meets for one hour three times a week during the fall or winter semester may meet for two hours three times a week during the spring or summer terms. Six credit hours (approximately two classes) are considered full-time.

  • Whether or not your student decides to attend spring term, if they have not completed their registration for fall semester, they should plan to do so as soon as possible. When new freshmen begin registering within the next few months, most available courses will soon be filled to capacity.
