Show Your Cougar Pride and Help a Student, Too!
Make a $25 tax deductible contribution for a Brigham Young University Cougar license plate and not only show off your Cougar pride but also give deserving students a chance to receive scholarships. Upon approval of the DMV, you can personalize your plate up to five characters.
- The plate is available to any vehicle owner registering a vehicle in Utah.
- Your contribution fee is paid as part of the registration renewal process. This fee is in addition to all other fees due at the time the plate is issued.
- There is an annual fee to renew this plate.
- The donation can be paid at the DMV office or the second floor of the the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni & Visitors Center on the BYU campus. Go the Hinckley Center second floor reception area and ask for Dave McKee. You may also call him directly at 801-422-6755.
- The plates have the school logo on the left, with the school name on the bottom.
- To obtain collegiate plates from your local motor vehicle office, you must make a minimum contribution to the institution and provide the current registration certificate for the vehicle to which the collegiate plates will be assigned.
