Alisha Malcarne

Chapter Director, East Region

Alisha Steere Malcarne grew up in the shadows of BYU, attending Provo High School (soon to be BYU West!). While reluctant to attend BYU initially, once she committed she was "ALL IN"! She graduated in 2001 with high honors and a BA in Communications/Public Relations. As an undergraduate she was elected as the National President of Future Business Leaders of America (College Division) and named Business Student of the Year.

She left briefly to serve a mission in Sao Paulo Brazil and then returned to employment at BYU in the Communications Department and Office of Information Technology, eventually returning to BYU for graduate school. She graduated in the top 10% of her class from the Marriott School of Business MBA Program in 2005 and worked in Leadership Development at Bank of America. Alisha is currently a Senior Business Analyst and Solution Architect at Gideon Taylor Consulting.

Alisha is married to Brian and has three children, Coleman, Emelia and Cora. They live in York, Pennsylvania when they aren't stamping their passports in foreign lands or road-tripping across the US. Alisha and Brian served as Chapter Chairs of the Susquehanna Valley Alumni Chapter from 2013-2017 and received the Chapter Rejuvenation Award in 2013 for their work. They have loved hosting many speakers from BYU, sending off many of their YM and YW to BYU, and getting to know the wonderful alumni in the area. In 2017 Alisha was invited to serve as the East Region Chapter Director working with chapters from Virginia to Maine.

Alisha enjoys running, traveling anywhere and everywhere, playing old-lady soccer, coaching little kid soccer, hiking mountains, adventuring with Young Women (i.e. Girl's Camp Director), sewing on occasion, cheering on her kids in their many endeavors, and getting herself back on BYU Campus as much as possible.
