Philanthropies is a department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It manages philanthropic contributions to the Church and its affiliated programs and institutions, including Brigham Young University (BYU).

Toggle ItemHow do I donate to my regional or professional Alumni chapter?
You can use the unique QR code found on your Alumni Tools webpage. This QR code is specific to your chapter.

Toggle ItemWhat types of funds can be donated through Philanthropies?
Only funds designated for Replenishment Grants can be donated through Philanthropies. Donations made through this channel cannot be used for operating expenses.

Toggle ItemWhat happens after someone makes a donation?
Once Philanthropies receives the donation, the funds are transferred directly to your chapter's BYU Replenishment Grant account.

Toggle ItemWill donors receive a tax letter?
Yes. Donors who contribute through Philanthropies will receive a receipt soon after donation and a tax letter at the end of the calendar year.

Toggle ItemCan sponsorships be donated through Philanthropies?
No. Sponsorships must be deposited into your chapter's DFCU account. Tax letters are not issued for sponsorships.

No, the matching program ended in 2025.
