An alumna in Houston has mustered the “Minivan Brigade” to provide relief for refugee families.
When Rebecca Paul McAllister (BS '10) heard Elder Patrick Kearon’s April 2016 general conference talk, “Refuge from the Storm,” she knew she wanted to get involved with refugees in her community. Along with other women in the community, McAllister began a welcome team. Nicknamed the "Minivan Brigade," these women have set up 65 apartments for over 350 individuals.
