Seth Killingbeck
Vice President of Events & Experience
Seth Killingbeck lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with his wife, Gretchen, and their two kids, Kensington and Clark. Seth and Gretchen met the first Sunday of their freshman year in the BYU 81st Ward and, after two years of letter writing during Seth’s mission to Argentina, were married in 2002. The Killingbecks love to stamp their passports, hike to scenic waterfalls, read together, and cheer on the Cougars!
Seth graduated from BYU in 2003 with a B.A. in Economics with University Honors and then earned Master of Public Health and Juris Doctor degrees with Honors from Emory University. After a brief stint in London, he practiced healthcare law at Bass, Berry & Sims in Nashville before becoming Senior Corporate Counsel at HCA Healthcare, one of the nation’s leading providers of healthcare services.
Seth and Gretchen led the Nashville Chapter of the BYU Alumni Association from 2014 to 2018. Highlights from that time include putting on a tailgate at MTSU, hosting an alumni family picnic with Cosmo, and instituting the annual Blue & White Ball, which is a “blue tie” gala to raise scholarship funds for BYU students from Middle Tennessee. Immediately prior to his current appointment as Vice President – Events & Experience, Seth served on the board and oversaw BYU Alumni’s Southeast Region, where he developed a passion for planning large tailgates and using them as a community outreach tool, including at games in Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and Louisiana. In his spare time Seth loves to read, run, and coach his kids’ soccer teams.
